I took this class in the spring and had a better experience than I expected. He's very patient and takes the time to make sure everyone understands before moving on. Classes could be a bit slow, but he gave great midterm hints, answered questions well, and was always kind and helpful.
Only went to a single lecture and that was the first one. He ranted on about what D2L was. Never came back. Hamelin's slides are enough to study off of. Also just kinda does his own thing sometimes (not in your favour)
T Doesn't use a mic, or a projector and writes things on the board in a massive lecture hall, which means you can't see or hear anything unless you're at the very front. He made the class way harder than other profs for the same class that were both running at the same time
When I had my first lecture with this professor, he spent THIRTY WHOLE UNBROKEN MINUTES speaking over ONE SLIDE. ONE SINGULAR SLIDE. I don't think I need to say anything else, that says enough, UNLIKE HIM.
Unnecessary things are repeated over and over. I found it hard to actually learn things.
The amount of homework in this class is insane. Group projects for which you will get frustrated for 8-10 hours a week. The labs had random attendance. The lectures were him yapping the same thing on one slide for the whole class, then running through the rest. Even going through the course syllabus took him 1.5 weeks... Makes mistakes when grading
This guy is NOT good. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He is very bad with grading and communication. You have to SKIP lectures because you have NO idea what he says. He incorrectly FAILED STUDENTS, so just don't take him ok :).
Dr. Woungang is good professor. The lectures go very slow as he repeats one concept multiple times to ensure everyone understands which I appreciate. However this caused our class to be behind as we were doing week 1 lectures in week 3. Self-study! Midterm was hard so go over textbook for practice, final was 50 mcq in 60 mins (not doable imo)
Very nice and he will make sure u understand the content, he will constantly repeat was he says but sometimes he repeats too many times, but he's very nice and helpful, highly recommend.
