Just wanted to honestly say that I was expecting to barely pass, but I got B as my final grade. Despite a lot of negative feedback towards him, he was very honest from the very beginning of the class.. you have to do all my labs, complete bonus assignments and actually go through the textbook and you'll be fine!! Dont expect to just show up

This prof was helpful, walked the class through practice questions, had bonus marks you could collect on the side and genuinely wanted people to succeed. His personality is a bit blunt and can come off as harsh if you aren't used to it. But I liked him.

Not as bad as people had said. The course is structured in a way that you can still do really well. I expected a C- but got a B. Do the extra bonus assignment and the live class quizzes to boost your grade.

I found this class very manageable, if you came to class to get the extra credits and did the bonus assignment its an extra like 10-15%. The exams were very fair, I recommend doing the practice test as many times as possible the questions are similar/ the same as the exams. hes a really understanding professor especially about makeup tests. 10/10

Honestly, I went into the course expecting a C- best, but if you listen to the prof, actually do the mylabs questions and read the textbook, getting a A+ is very doable. I was even surprised that I finished the course with an A+.

To be fair this class is not hard and Sergiy cares alot about his students. I got an A+ without doing any of the extra bonus assignments. My advice read the textbook, do the problems in the back of the book, and the practice tests on Mylabs. He also posts small videos on how to do questions. Good Luck :)

I took this class in Winter 2026 and did pretty well.The course in itself is not easy, especially if you don't put in the work. The prof gives resources you can follow that help a lot. He structures the course in a way that you can do really well if you stay on top of the readings and do all the extra assignments and practice the labs.

The course itself just requires work, he gives plenty of opportunities for extra marks and is responsive on d2l. He is straight forward and dry but gives a decent idea of what you need to study/do in order to do well. Your mark for this class is based on yourself not on the prof, just do the hw and test study materials and you should do fine.

This course is hard – you need to figure it out completely on your own. He basically spends the first half of every lecture warning you about the difficulty of the class and how you need to study instead of actually teaching. To be blatant, it's an utter waste of time. 90% of your grade is determined on the midterm and final.

Not the professor i would ever choose if have an option of choosing another professor, multiple things that i dont like, first his accent, and broken language. Secondly, not at all helpful with queries, i went to ask for a question on arbitrage topic, as i didn't understand how we got to the answer in the example, he straight away denied help.
