Incredible professor! Dr. Parmar makes medical microbiology easy to understand by connecting it to everyday life. She is extremely caring, approachable, and genuinely invested in her students' success. Even after the course was over, she remained incredibly supportive and helpful. If you get the chance to take her, do it 100% recommended!
She's nice but the course felt disorganized. Our presentations were meant to be 20min long but the guideline was multiple pages long with a lot of details many of us struggled to fit. She's a tough marker bc she was a clinical researcher so there was always something wrong with our work. Wish she focused more on going through slides than rambling.
absolutely disorganized. Whats the point of adding a rubric if your grading does't follow the rubric..? Says "this assign. is optional" so many people don't do it but then at the end of the course you all find out it was actually worth 5 percent.. so then it wasn't optional..
Shes nice but soo disorganized. The course is over and only got 1 grade back. Grading is unclear and inconsistent. You can follow the rubric to a T and she'll still give you a 60. She was a clinical researcher so for this course, she always found a way to deduct your grade. Also, she whispers so make sure you sit front row.
You will get a good grade in this class but will learn nothing at all. The structure of this class not great, you will just do the components just to do it. This class is the most Click Skip forward, Press next ahh class that I have ever had. Most mind numbing class ever.
Dr. Parmar is a supportive, caring, and engaging professor who genuinely wants her students to succeed. Her courses are meaningful, well taught, and very helpful.
Dr. Parmar is a passionate and supportive professor with a clear and engaging teaching style. She explains complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and consistently connects course material to real-world applications. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in the pharmaceutical industry
She is very nice and I can see she wants to see her students succeed. Heard she talked bad about our class though, don't know what that was about. Overall content wasn't bad and easy. The homework quizzes were a lot but the class had a lot of free marks. Got to have a cheat sheet for the final which is awesome.
how are you going to complain about going to lectures when that's free marks for your total grade? dr. parmar was a sweetheart and really understood my struggles outside of class to help accomodate me. she can be a little quiet but her words are impactful, hope to have her again next year :)
Why is attendance worth 10% of the grade? It's unnecessary and so extra. You'll need to purchase the textbook; it's $98 for a 100-day access. The quizzes take so long to do. This course could have been more straightforward and simple.
